Semah fish are freshwater fish that live in fast- flowing rivers . This fish comes from Indo-australia. for the Sumatra region, semah fish is only found in Kerinci which is now very rare to find in the market. Semah fish are included in rare animals because their development patterns are not in accordance with the needs of today’s society. Then the habitat of semah fish that live in fast currents makes it difficult to get them.
The increasingly rare semah fish, the government and the community are trying to cultivate the semah fish, as well as UIN STS Jambi which in this case is represented by the Business Development Center (P2B) wanting to cultivate this rare fish. On November 22, 2021 ago, P2B collaborated with the community in Kerinci to cultivate this semah fish, having previously made several observations in Kerinci.
